Working, learning or playing; we are the marine and diving operation of choice in the Florida Panhandle.
We believe that the secret to any successful trip or project is having the right people and tools from the start. To that end we have endeavored to retain the highest trained personnel and the best work boat possible for marine operations.
Our research divers are all AAUS trained science divers and Divemasters from recognized recreational scuba certification agencies at a minimum. Most of them have additional backgrounds in the military and/or degrees in Business, Engineering, Underwater Crime Scene Investigation and Marine Biology. We are all committed to continuing education and the idea that we never stop learning.
Our 36' custom Newton dive boat the Steel Slinger is a quick and efficient work horse with ample deck space, easy access to the water, 3kW continuous A/C power, and and top of the line electronics. She is a US Coast Guard annually inspected passenger vessel rated for up to 30 passengers (20 divers) plus 2 crew members. She meets or exceeds all requirements for safety gear by the NAVY, USCG and NOAA.
We offer our vessel for daily rates which vary based on type of work being done, dive support required, time offshore and fuel burned. To date we have done projects with the military, research and educational institutions, and the private sector ranging from;
*artificial reef surveys - monitoring and deployment
*fish tagging,
*sonar testing,
and AUV/UUV testing.
We are flexible and eager to work, so please feel free to call us if you have a project needing dive support or access to the marine environment off Panama City, Florida.
Of course when we aren't doing REAL work we are running scuba charters and teaching students how to dive through our recreational face as Panama City Dive Charters.
